As a former linebacker, taking the right steps and angles was essential to being effective on the football field. My coach harped on taking the right steps and reading what you see, so I can be in position to make the play. I found that when I focused too much on taking the right steps and proper angles, I was not as dynamic of a player as I could be. To my surprise, my impact on the field was much more dynamic when I stopped over thinking and simply focused on playing my best!
Whatever you’re doing in life, whether it’s your job, school, or family; don’t focus so much on doing everything perfect. Mistakes are inevitable and they are essential to helping you progress to the next level. Having good intentions and doing your best will result in good success.
